Set in the beautiful setting of the village of Brantingham at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, the site of The Triton Inn has had a pub for centuries, going through a number of guises over the years. We believe The Triton should be returned to former glories, providing great food, drink and taking on an important role as a village pub.
Having been locals on and off for nearly 30 years, we took over ownership in July 2013 and spent months on a major renovation of the pub, with a passion for maintaining the original charming features of the old Inn and adding a contemporary edge to the Dining Room and the Private Hire room.
Brantingham is now a sleepy village, very pretty and largely unchanged in appearance for maybe a hundred years. The central feature of the village is still the centuries old duck pond, with a delightful green around it, and impressive 17th century homes such as Brantingham House and Brantingham Hall. Brantingham has long been popular with walkers due to its strategic location on the main road in and out of Hull, and in the centre of some of the beautiful walking country around. It also offers one of East Yorkshire’s most challenging uphill climbs: Spout Hill, offering wonderful views over the Humber towards Trent Falls. It’s a stiff climb and one that’s guaranteed to help you work up a thirst, or a hunger.
A Big Thank You

We are also very grateful to many of our staff, builders, decorators and suppliers who regularly bring their families and friends to The Triton.
